Emperor penguins marching toward extinction
In a great article by Kristine Liao at Audubon Magazine, my colleague Stef Jenouvrier and I are interviewed about our recent paper in Global Change Biology - about how if we don't meet the Paris Accord agreement (to keep warming below 1 degree C), we are likely to lose most emperor penguin colonies.
Just a month before that article, my colleagues Phil Trathan, Barb Wienecke, and many others, suggest a similar story in our paper in Biological Conservation - that emperor penguins aren't likely to do great in the future as the climate continues to warm. Jonathan Amos of the BBC covered that story very well, here.
